| The Criminal Justice Associates of Occupational Studies degree provides instruction from experienced criminal justice experts at Vatterott Colleges in St. Joseph. The criminal justice program in St. Joseph includes courses in corrections, security management, criminology, investigation, report writing and homeland security. These classes include topics such as the philosophy of the criminal justice system, the correctional system, history and theory of policing, USA Patriot Act, terrorism, investigation techniques, and much more. The objective of the Criminal Justice program in St. Joseph is to prepare graduates with the fundamental understanding of delinquency and crime, criminal law and procedure and basic management and administrative skills needed in security organizations. The program strives to familiarize students with current trends, techniques and technology used in police forces. Graduates should have the skills necessary for entry level positions as a police officer, corrections officer, security guard, surveillance officer, loss prevention specialist or private investigator. (Some of these occupations may require additional criminal justice training.) |

Facilities
The St. Joseph campus provides ample classrooms and study areas for Criminal Justice students. Library and computer labs are open additional hours to provide work-study time outside of classes. Also, enrollment provides each student online resources such as library services, a student portal, email and online companion courses.
