Students receive instruction from industry experienced experts in each Graphic Design course at Vatterott College - Omaha. The Associate of Occupational Studies in Graphic Art and Design provides courses in layout and design fundamentals, digital imaging, computer page layout, and design production. Classes cover basic introduction to the web, graphics, animation, and portfolio refinement.
The objective of the Graphic Design program is to provide students with the skills necessary for an entry level position as a graphic artist, web developer or creative artist. The program consists of 117 credit hours completed in 90 weeks.
The Graphic Design courses at Vatterott College in Omaha are provided with computer labs equipped with the latest software and hardware, meant to help students learn efficiently. Labs are open additional hours to provide work-study time outside of classes. Enrollment provides each student online resources such as library services, a student portal, email and online companion courses.

According to the Department of Labor:
“Employment of graphic designers is expected to grow 13 percent. Moreover, graphic designers with Web site design and animation experience will especially be needed as demand increases for design projects for interactive media—Web sites, mobile phones, and other technology. Demand for graphic designers also will increase as advertising firms create print and Web marketing and promotional materials for a growing number of products and services.”
