Students receive instruction from industry experienced experts in each Plumbing course in Berkeley. The Diploma in Plumbing provides courses in plumbing applications and cover brazing and soldering, blueprint reading, water supply, appliances, storm drainage systems, prevention devices, plumbing fixtures and much more.
The objective of the plumbing courses is to prepare the graduate with the theory and working knowledge of estimating, building and plumbing code and blueprint reading in the order to secure an entry-level position into the advanced field of plumbing. This plumbing training school combines lecture and hands-on training to provide skills necessary in completing advanced technical plumbing training. Graduates will carry out complex service and repair to commercial and residential plumbing systems.

The campus provides ample classrooms and a specific area for plumbing courses. The large shop area provides real-world plumbing applications and components for students to learn. Library resource materials are available to students beyond normal school operation hours. Enrollment provides each student online resources such as library services, a student portal, email and online companion courses.
Career Outlook
According to the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics:
“Employment of plumbers, pipelayers, pipefitters, and steamfitters is expected to grow 16 percent between 2008 and 2018, faster than the average for all occupations. Demand for plumbers will stem from new construction and from renovation of buildings. In addition, repair and maintenance of existing residential systems will keep plumbers employed.”
