This course is a combination of legal and technological training in one of the most exciting and dynamic subjects in law today. The discovery of electronically stored information is rapidly evolving. Since almost all information is now created in electronic form, paralegals and attorneys are scrambling to understand how their clients create and maintain their business records.
Ranging from word documents and spreadsheets to email and text messages, vast amounts of potentially responsive electronic information is available. Technical background experience is not necessary to take this course. However, students do need to be aware of the fact that electronic evidence plays a role in building and defending a case. The Course Length is 36 hours over eight weeks.
