The Homeland Security diploma program at Vatterott Career College Memphis Appling Farms offers students experienced instruction, as well as hands-on Homeland Security training. The Homeland Security courses include information technology related to homeland security, cyber terrorism, preparedness and contingency planning, cyber threats and case studies in homeland security.  Course topics include government structures and roles, terrorist history and tactics, critical infrastructure, communication technologies, pattern recognition, database data mining and warehousing, online terrorism, business continuity plans, disaster recovery, risk management, terrorism prevention and much more.  These Homeland Security courses also assist the student in preparation for Certified Public Safety Profession (ACFEI) certification.

This program is designed to meet the need for trained professionals in the area of homeland security on a federal, state and local basis. This program is designed to prepare graduates for entry level position in fields related to Homeland Security. The program consists of 60 weeks, 72 quarter credit hours of Homeland Security theory and associated lab work.

Facilities
The Homeland Security diploma program at Vatterott Career College in Memphis provides ample classrooms and a specific area for Homeland Security study. Library and computer labs are open additional hours to provide work-study time outside of classes.  Also, enrollment provides each student online resources such as library services, a student portal, email and online companion courses.
