The Applied Electrical Technlology degree provides professional electrician training in Kansas City. The program offers courses in composition and math, along with residential, commercial and industrial electrical training. The Electrician program in Kansas City is designed to simulate the real world environment. Students receive hands-on training in a laboratory environment that features similar electrical components and scenarios encountered in the Electrician field. Enrollment provides each student online resources such as library services, a student portal, email and online companion courses. Also, computer labs are open additional hours to provide work-study time outside of classes. Maximum class size is 30 students. Theory classes are limited to a 30:1 student/teacher ratio and labs are limited to a 20:1 ratio.
