| As you know a Category 4 tornado recently hit Joplin, Missouri, causing severe devastation. This tornado destroyed thousands of homes and hundreds of businesses. This disaster is being called one of the deadliest tornados ever to hit the United States and the town is in desperate need of assistance. The Vatterott Campus in Joplin is intact, but many of its employees and students have suffered significant losses. We have established a fund at Commerce Bank to provide assistance to the impacted Vatterott-Joplin employees and students. Vatterott employees and students wishing to help can contribute to the fund and the Company will match 100% of the contributions. You can contribute in one of two ways:
Thank you for your contributions! We have a free “store” at the Joplin campus to offer immediate supplies to our campus family of students, staff and faculty. Let your campus know of the immediate call for these additional items, as this need is great. They need these items sent to the Joplin campus. Please stop by to visit the complimentary store and pick up needed supplies, get a wash, haircut and style and reconnect with your campus family. 5/27/11 - All campuses, including the corporate office, will be participating in Jeans Day on June 2nd to benefit those affected by the tornado in the Joplin area. ___________________________________We are asking students, faculty, and staff to donate $3 to wear jeans in an effort to raise money for students who have been affected by these events. 5/27/11 - A large shipment of supplies has arrived at the Joplin campus. Students are welcome to come to the complimentary store. 5/22/11 - The Joplin campus of Vatterott College is open and operational to provide support for students, faculty, staff and other members of the community. Our campus is providing use of our phone and internet resources, acting as a staging center for community members to reconnect, providing support to those in need of emergency relief resources.
