We help students to develop and use job search strategies that work quickly and effectively and are specific to their field.

The first step in getting noticed by employers and encouraging them to want to talk with you is a professional resume.  We work with students to develop their resume so that employers can quickly see the technical and soft skills they are seeking.  Formatting that projects a positive attitude and ability to learn is the foundation of a successful resume.

To prepare for that all-important interview, the Career Services Team can help our students to develop effective interviewing skills and learn how to avoid the most commonly made interviewing mistakes. We help our students strengthen their confidence and communication skills through the mock interviewing process.  A key part of the mock interview process is to help students utilize interviewing techniques that create a positive first impression and then sustain that positive impression throughout the entire interview.

Because we have over 30 years of experience, employers look to Vatterott College to provide them with qualified applicants.  As employers look to us for job candidates, we match our students’ resumes with the employer’s needs.  In addition, once a graduate’s skills and abilities have been identified, employers who have hired other Vatterott graduates are contacted to identify employment needs.

We bring employers to you.  Vatterott campuses hold Career Fairs on campus that brings together local employers and our students. These Career Fairs are a great way to find out what’s going on in the industry and network with organizations that may want to hire. In addition, we post notices of community Career Fairs to provide additional opportunities for our students to talk with community employers.
